I have been a resident at Solana Lifestyle Resort on Bribie Island since November 2020, and Treasurer of our HOC since March 2021 and Treasurer for a similar organisation from August 2021.
I am a semi-retired, degree-qualified cost and management accountant. During my professional career I was both a CIMA and CPA designated accountant. Over the years I have volunteered my time and skills as Honorary Treasurer for a number of not-for-profits.
If I had been aware of the existence of an organisation like AMHO prior to purchasing in 2020, I would definitely have sought advice and potentially improved my standing with my park owner with a higher understanding of my rights and responsibilities under the MHRP.
